Briess Black Malt

An excellent malt for color with subtle, smooth flavor for Black IPAs, dark wheat beers and Schwarzbier. Use up to 10% for deep color plus mild, smooth flavor in porters and stouts. Deep color with mild roasted/chocolate/coffee flavors.

Used in all types of beer to adjust color, and depending on amount used will impart chocolate notes to flavor. Typical Color L: 350 Flavor contributions: rich, roasted coffee, cocoa

Provides a sweet, grainy, coffee-like flavor and a red to deep brown color. Typical Color L: 300 Flavor contributions: coffee, intense bitter, dry

This malt is at the darker end of the caramel malt spectrum, however imparts a color and an intense sweet malty aroma second to none which must be experienced to be believed.

Swaen Chocolate Wheat, roasted wheat malt is for top fermented beers, used in amounts of 1% for Altbier or dark wheat beers. To enhance color and mild toast hints, meanwhile gives better head retention and body.

Dehusked black malt.  Provides more subdued black malt flavor.  Used commonly in black ipas, black ales, and dark beers where less roasted black malt flavor is desired.

Crisp Pale Chocolate malt is a light-roasted specialty malt. Lighter in color and milder in taste than regular chocolate malt, Pale Chocolate has the nutty malt flavor of lighter toasted grains, but also some of the heavier flavor of darker roasted malt.

Chocolate barley brings deeper aroma for dark beers as well as beer color. A highly roasted malt w/a deep brown color.
